In September 2006, “Making the Grade: Helping Our Kids Achieve” teamed up:WKYC TV 3, Center for Families and Children, Forest City Enterprises, Invest in Children, KidsOhio.org, and Voices for Children of Greater Cleveland to share information on what is working for our region’s children and families. This community guide details the programs featured in the WKYC Channel 3 Special.
If you haven’t already done so, we encourage you to watch the program and share it with others to spread the word about these absolutely amazing programs that serve area children. We’re pleased to have joined WKYC to produce this program and hope you will join us in recognizing the message that resonates throughout: that these programs are all examples of success stories that happen when educators, parents and the community band together to provide real opportunities and real results for children.
The program originally aired on Channel 3 on September 14th and again on October 28th. Viewer ratings were very impressive and we trust that the community is further enlightened on the good things happening in our public schools as a result.
If your guide does not include a copy of the DVD, please feel free to contact us to obtain a copy. We encourage you to use it as a teaching tool for your staff, customers and colleagues about how we can all work together for children in Northeast Ohio.
