Over 1 million adults in Ohio are living without any health insurance. Approximately 155,000 children in Ohio are without any health insurance. They are our friends, neighbors, co-workers who are forced to gamble everyday that they won’t get sick or injured. Every community can make a difference by embracing this proclamation about “Cover the Uninsured Week”. Join thousands of communities across the country to raise public awareness for covering the uninsured the week of April 27 – May 3 that health coverage for all Americans is a top priority. The proclamation is a template that any community can use. Let’s make 2008 the year to increase awareness about the uninsured and demand solutions from our nation’s leaders. |
