Economic Benefits of Investing in Young Children by Art Rolnick and others

Cleveland, OH - Voices for Ohio's Children featured a keynote address by Arthur Rolnick, senior vice president and director of research, The Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis at its annual Champion for Children Award Celebration. The event was held on Friday, June 1st at Windows on the River in The Flats (Cleveland, OH). Mr. Rolnick has published widely on the economic benefits of investing in programs for young children. Mr. Rolnick is also an associate economist with the Federal Open Market Committee. Rolnick’s essays on public policy issues, including “The Economics of Early Childhood Development,” have gained national attention. Rolnick also has received numerous awards for this work, including being named “2005 Minnesotan of the Year” by Minnesota Monthly magazine.
