Voices for Ohio’s Children announced today the hiring of two child advocacy professionals to its growing team throughout Ohio. Gayle Channing Tenenbaum has been hired as Senior Policy Fellow and Yvonne Hunnicutt has been hired as Policy Associate.
Gayle Channing Tenenbaum has spent a lifetime advocating safety and dignity for the underserved. She promotes common sense in programs that affect those who struggle in our society, especially children. Gayle currently does lobbying for the Public Children Services Association of Ohio, and The National Network for Child Safety. She manages a variety of projects to maintain and improve human services funding and policies in Ohio. Her skills in organizing, knowledge of strategic planning, policy and program development and team building have made her a valuable leader in many coalitions and organizations. She recently used these skills on the Strickland Campaign and Transition Team. Gayle brings this wealth of knowledge and experience to Voices’ already active advocacy team and will help the organizations efforts at the local, state and federal levels. Yvonne Hunnicutt will be an integral part of implementing Voices advocacy strategy As Policy Associate she will be working at the local and state levels to advocate on juvenile justice, transitional youth and child health issues. Yvonne has an extensive background in advocacy and community outreach. Prior to coming to Voices, she worked with the Council for Economic Opportunities in Greater Cleveland, Cleveland Scholarship Program and the YWCA of Cleveland. Voices for Ohio’s Children is a non-partisan group of public, not-for profit and private sector organizations who are concerned about our community's children. With a collaborative effort and a collective voice, we promote improvements in the lives of children and their families. |
