The Health and Human Services Levy passed by 64%. More than 200,000 Cuyahoga County residents said YES to children, seniors, emergency services, mental health services, homeless services, alcohol and drug addiction services, and the many other programs offered by Cuyahoga County organizations. The tax will continue to keep LifeFlight helicopters in flight and provide a $40 million subsidy to MetroHealth Medical Center.
Volunteers braved cold temperatures for all of the various activities during the last few months (speaking engagements, literature distribution, yard sign delivery, phone banks, etc.). The Speaker’s Bureau volunteers reached out to more than 100 organizations, Phone Bank volunteers placed more than 60,000 calls to voters, and numerous volunteers participated in literature and yard sign distributions and much more. |
