Closing the Gap for Ohio's Children and Families

Materials from the November Conference

Ohio's new governor and elected officials will face many critical decisions in 2007, including determining priorities and passing a state budget. Health care remains a top concern for Ohioans and a new Administration and legislature present new opportunities for progress.

This conference discussed what's working in Ohio's public health insurance program (Medicaid/SCHIP) and how we can make the program even better for children and families:

  • Promising practices for effective outreach, enrollment and retention in Medicaid/SCHIP

  • Public policy recommendations and opportunities for strengthening public health coverage

  • What's happening in Ohio and other states

  • Network with providers, community leaders, policy makers, and advocates
