Presenter: Michael Simpson- 28 years of opportunity in the people business.
- BA at Abilene Christian University in 1983
- MA in Marriage and Family Therapy in 1988.
- Broad residential and outpatient experience in direct service and management with both adults and children.
- He enjoys group and individual supervision and training.
- Currently works at Talbert House Turtle Creek in Lebanon, Ohio.
Objectives For This Training Are:- Gain knowledge about brain development, client thinking/behavior and de-escalation
- Learn to identify triggers and predictive factors to assess a crisis
- Learn the significance of using the appropriate level of intervention
- Learn how to create a consistent milieu for intervention
- Learn and practice verbal competency in de-escalation techniques
- Learn individual and team intervention strategies
- Learn how to use remediation to assist client growth and development
- Learn how staff can grow through debriefing
